We have some surprises up our headdresses to share during the First Friday Fiesta de Frida event, 6-9 p.m. July 7 at the Heard Museum. We have turned up the coolness factor in several ways, including music, spoken word, food and dance for our grown-up Phoenix Frida fans.
And possibly clinching the record for the most floral headdresses in a museum gallery space!
The Heard will not be charging general admission (normally $18 per adult), but there will be a $7 admission fee to see Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, the blockbuster exhibition. While you are waiting to see the show, there will be DJ entertainment, a Phoenix Fridas Mercado, make-and-take flower crowns, and cool summer snacks and drinks as long as supplies last. And that’s just for starters – see you there!
